Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine (MIU) plans to concession or sell all the country’s ports
This was proclaimed by Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii at an international conference summoned by UkraineInvest.
“Our goal for the next 4 years is: we wish to transfer to concession or to private property all the ports”, noted Mr Kryklii.
According to him, now the authority prepares to concession the railferry complex and container terminal of Chornomorsk Port. Moreover, the Ministry’s further plans include the concession of sea trade ports in Berdiansk and Izmaíl.
Also, MIU gets ready for privatisation the ports of Bilhorod Dnistrovsky, Ust Dunaisk, and Skadovsk.
The minister also pointed out that concession and privatisation envisage not only development of a specific port, but also the adjacent environments, in particular rail and motor roads.
Besides the ports, MIU intends to concession as well a number of railway stations of Ukraine and some roads.
NB by Interlegal: Mr Kryklii meant of course the public stevedore companies officially named State Enterprise NN Sea Commercial Port, not the entire infrastructure objects.
